This comprehensive site provides numerous resources for finding funding and conducting research at Wayne State University. The Grant Funding Cycle links to great variety of tools and information.
Faculty Research Handbook
To allow faculty and students easy access to information about research funding opportunities available through these university units, the Office of the Vice President for Research annually compiles the Internal Research Handbook. This booklet provides comprehensive information on competitions for faculty and graduate students, guidelines on university procedures for conducting research, information on research support services, and a list of internal web sites helpful for WSU researchers.
The Office of Research Compliance provides leadership and management to selected units within the Division, including the Human Investigation Committee, the Animal Investigation Committee and the Office of Environmental Health and Safety. This unit trains faculty and appropriate staff on their awareness of research responsibilities and risks.
The Michigan Alliance for Clinical and Translational Science (MACTS) consists of five research and educational institutions, including Wayne State University, Michigan State University, Henry Ford Health System, the Van Andel Research Institute and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, which have come together to form synergies to ensure that scientists from each institution and the general public can access comprehensive, stage-appropriate, and timely support for all forms of clinical and translational research.
Partnership-driven Resources to Improve and Enhance Research (PRIMER) is a compendium of resources for research networks, organized by stages of the research process. PRIMER’s aim is to facilitate multi-site collaborations for health research. Quite often, these collaborations involve community-based organizations, academic institutions, or health care delivery settings.
